Illustrator Spotlight: Edward Carvalho-Monaghan

Edward Carvalho-Monaghan’s work caught my eye this week because of its dynamically graphic, surreal qualities. This particular piece reminds me of two of my favorite artists, Dali and Chirico. Even though his work uses color, I wish I had found his art earlier because he could have been a great source of inspiration for Project 1.1. I am inspired by his use of repetition and his style of design has a quirky, loud vibe (especially his other works which can be found through the link). The carefully arranged, combined use of lines and form create a visually appealing, but not busy image.
