Tessa Dóniga is a photographer from Madrid who has taken the first meal of the day to a new level with her series called Break/Fast. She has captured photos of breakfast foods being demolished or literally broken, such as a dramatic shot of a shattered egg or a can of beans sliced in half. Her inspiration for these pieces came from her perspective as a bilingual speaker: “When I try to translate some words into one language from another, I question myself.
