Over the break I had the privilege to travel to Paris with some friends. We visited all of the major tourist spots that we could in that week, but the one piece of art that stood out throughout the entire trip to me was the food, especially the pastries. We must have walked past 100 bakeries every day and each time we walked past one I was unable to draw my eyes away from the decadent and delicious looking pastries. Each pastry is a work of art. Every curve and edge has a purpose. Every color used is a choice. The end product is something that the baker(s) should be really proud of because not only does it taste good, it’s beautiful.
