My friend from high school has been running a pop-up gourmet restaurant out of his dorm room for the past few years, and he just launched a Kickstarter campaign for his cookbook. To be honest, I have no plans of attempting any of his recipes. But I love cookbooks, especially his minimalist gourmet style. I noticed that in his plating, he pays special attention to color use– as if he selected his food colors straight off of the complementary colors swaths on Illustrator.
