Tierra Whack’s Mastery of the Concept Album

Tierra Whack has recently released a series of fantastic new songs. However, her true masterpiece is 2018’s Whack World. This album consisted of fifteen one-minute long songs and was accompanied by a music video that rapidly switches between vignettes as the songs progress. The album features incredible wordplay, seamless blending of styles and genres, and fantastic little moments of humor and wit. However, the music video is what truly brings these often disparate songs together. The art direction is absolutely phenomenal, matching the kookiness of the album with scenes that perfectly match the modes and messages of the corresponding songs. It is well worth the listen and the watch.
