Historical Paintings, Updated

Since we created our GIFs with historical paintings in class, I set out to find other ways in which artists re-modernized historical paintings. Upon researching, I stumbled upon the work of Dimitris Ladopoulos. Ladopoulos used an algorithm known as treemapping to recreate these historical paintings in a more pixelized form. The algorithm calculates the density of parts of an image and interprets them as colorful tiles of varying heights, which Ladopoulos compares to different strokes an artist would use.
